A bit over a year ago I got an idea; what if we would go abroad to do my work trainee there? It was warm sunny day when I asked about it from my wife and luckily she got excited like me. Then I visited first time at my school international office to talk with Katja about possibilities of my trainee. Destination country hasn't been hard to choose: Spain. I started to study spanish, prepare my applications, search possible work placements and so on...
Because of bad unemployment situation in Spain I didn't get any work placement from companies I asked for. Plan-B was to send applications to Malta, which could have been a good place too. Fortunately Katja remembered that our school has a partnerschool in Valencia so we asked if they would have any open places for me. They found couple suitable projects, which doesn't match completely with my education. But one of them seems interesting so I chose it.
Now moving day is getting closer day by day and this is going exciting little by little. Time has gone really fast last few weeks because we have had thousand things to handle. Many things have handled yet but still we have a lot to do. Flights are booked to 17.8 when we will fly to Alicante which is located something like 200 km to south from Valencia. We have planned that we would stay there one day before going to Valencia on train. Fortunately we already have an apartment there so it's one big thing less to worry.
Couple weeks earlier my older son asked many times everyday that when we will go to our new home, so my wife made own calendar to him. He can draw x-sign everyday to it and then he realized that there was still many nights left.
