Summer days...

...at the end of november.

Last weekend was the warmest for awhile, sun was shining all the day and it was more than 20 degrees so of course we didn’t want to spend it inside the house. It was so warm that I could have sunbathed in our rooftop! On saturday we decided to go to Carrefour to do some shopping. Usually we take the bus when we are going to C4 but now we wanted to enjoy the weather so we walked there along the old river which is now a long park including many playgrounds and playing fields. It was my first time to see that side of the park and I have to say that I like that much. Lot of things what you can do there. Length to there and back is at least 8 km but Otto could walk almost all the way, well done from 4 years old boy.

Family portrait from our rooftop. :D

 Winter is coming?

 Enjoyable weather.

 Just relaxing...

 One of the many playgrounds.

 And other one.

 Boys playing like always.

Sometimes we had to carry him a little.

On sunday we went to other park where we have used to play a lot.

"Come down daddy."

Nice view to one cafetería.

Next time I could try to add little video clips, let's see how it's work...

Tourist season

Last seven weeks we have had guests almost all the time so we have had a lot of things to do. Of course I couldn’t be with them all the time because I was working in the daytime.

5.10. – 18.10.2011
My brother’s and friend’s visit here included, of course, a lot of time on playing on the parks and that kind of doings. Then the weather was pretty good yet so we also went few times to the beach to sunbathe, play and swim. I already miss that weather! They preferred more to just relax so we didn’t go to watch local sights that much.

 Cool, Jasu wasn't interested. :D

One of the many fountains in the old center.

You can imagine how happy boys were.

They couldn't resist to buy...

One day was really hot, so surprise, we went to the beach.

Track for little balls.

Park playings.

21.10 – 28.10.2011

My sister and step-sister from Germany came here to vacation and also to see each other. This was their first meeting after summer so they were excited, and I guess that they were also missing boys a little! C isn’t a real step-sister but she was studying one year in Finland and lived in my parents’ house so we can think like that.

 In the nearest park.

Kids.

Family to me? Why you think like that?

put five.

Nice bubble.

Happy couple.

This photo has to be taken...

Like in Finland...

29.10 – 5.11.2011
Neea’s cousin and his girlfriend were the most eager to explore local sights so we visited in places like L´Oceanogràfic and Science Museum and walked a lot in the old center. They also went to explore the city for themselves and to taste local foods in restaurants.

Neea’s friend also came here more to relax on her vacation than to see every sights and stuff, but of course we showed of some sights because she came a new place. And have to say that she has different opinion what is relaxing because she WANTED to clean up sometimes and said that it's nice, well, each goes with own style... This week was kind of vacation to Neea too, after my work they could spend time with each other without taking care of boys.

Amigas.
Enjoying the life here.

Fortunately we had some freedays between guests because it was tough time to take care of guests... Just joking!

Xmas gift ideas

Today we went to explore area near to "new" football stadium for the first time. The stadium supposed to be ready for season 2009-2010 but they stopped construction because of financial problems. There was more higher and newer buildings and everything was more clean, no graffits on the walls and so on. Seems like it's more expensive area to live.

 "Stadium"...

But back to the subject, there we found few good ideas for christmas presents to us if somebody doesn't know what to buy yet.

Otto's favourite.

  Neea's shopping car.

 This for Jasu.

This could be nice for me.

While waiting for gifts...

L’Oceanogràfic

Last week’s tuesday was national holiday because of All Saints’ Day so we decided to use the time for new experience. We went to the L’Oceanogràfic which is the largest marine park in Europe situated in Valencia. This was our first time in that kind of place so you can imagine there was lot of to see! And if I was so excited about everything there you can imagine how excited boys were!

Always posing... Behind on the left you can see
the Ágora building and L´Oceanogràfic is
situated to the right.

In year 2002 constructed marine park is situated in the eastern Valencia and it’s very popular, for tourists it’s one “have to visit” place. It has divided different areas representing main marine ecosystems: the Mediterranean, Wetlands, Temperate and Tropical Seas, Oceans, the Antarctic, the Arctic, Islands and the Red Sea. There is also Dolphinarium where is few performances during the day. They have even 45,000 animals from 500 different species so you can spend hours there (especially with children). And if you has too much money you can buy something from tourist shops at a good (read: high) price.

This is map of the whole L´Oceanogràfic area and
explanations of different places.

Temperate and Tropical Seas.

The Mediterranean.

It was really warm day!

Oceans.

Antarctic.

Dolphinarium, unfortunately photographer's aim wasn't so
good all the time. :D

I heard that this might be Neea's future career!

 They jumped pretty high...

Islands.

Boys met walrus when we were leaving.

Hemisfèric on background and Science
Museum on the right.

There is also some kind of dinosaur land.

On friday we also visited on Science Museum (Museo de las Sciencias) which is also one part of famous Ciudad de las Artes y las Sciencias like L’Oceanogràfic. In addition to these there is also Hemisfèric and Palau de les Arts but more about those maybe later… Museum included many different zones like sports zone where we were able to do some tests, zone of superheroes with many figures and so on. We had less than two hours there so we didn’t have enough time to see everything but it was still nice experience.

Miniature of the whole Ciudad de las Artes y las Sciencias area.

 Boys playing.

Interesting things.

I heard that I should start to train more... :D

That would have been nice to try but it was closed.

 Standing long jump.

 Family portrait, almost.

Neea shows her style, looks easy! :)

Test that how high you can jump.

  Hemisfèric with nightlights.

There was a lot of more interesting things but we haven't got good pictures about everything, maybe next time...

Last few days have gone with fever, cough and bleeding nose and we have just rested in home. Luckily situation is going better now, it’s every time so boring to be sick and do just nothing… I hope that this is the last time to be sick here so we can enjoy more before leaving! Seems like the autumn has arrived here too, days are colder and it may rain a few days in a row so the sad fact is that no more beach days. But it’s still like 20 degrees (más o menos like the locals like to say, means approximately) so we may survive!

 Just chillin'...

Looks same than in Finland?

In my work I have lot of new things to study that I can do some progress. So it’s nice to see that little by little I can go forward.  And one thing for which I’m so glad is that I can notice my own progress in languages, in both spoken and written languages and also in both English and Spanish languages. I remember that at first it was so hard to think what I want to say and so on, I don’t say that now everything is super easy but it’s much easier! Now I also know more what I have to do in this work, but I’ll tell more about that later (if it isn’t too secret :D)…

He pensado que podría escribir un poco más en español, sé que no hay muchos lectores españoles pero eso estaría más como memoria buena de mí. Vamos a ver…
